The Labor

Kristi and I got to NFRWMC at about 8:15PM on Thursday the 18th of January for the scheduled induction.
Her blood pressure was a bit high during her examination in days prior, so her OB/GYN recommended
induced labor.  After 24 hours of unsuccessful labor, we all decided that the safest route was a C-section
as Kristi's blood pressure was increasing throughout the day.  It turned out to be the only decision.  Liam's
cord was
twice wrapped around his head likely making vaginal delivery  impossible.

The excellent surgical team led by Dr. Erin Werner successfully delivered Liam at 6:11PM on Friday the 19th.

The Name
Liam derives from William (itself a derivative of Wilhelm) and means "protector".  Many Stupkes and
Stahnke's have adorned this moniker.  James is a family name taken from James Edward, the proud
paternal grandfather.
